As we celebrated our 50th anniversary in business this July and look forward to our 51st year and beyond, it led me to reflect on our passion for doing what we do. It’s way more than just matching top talent with great workplaces. It’s about the impact we have on people’s lives and the impact they have on us. Recently, as part of our work through EOS, we took a step back, looked at our passion statement, and made a significant change in how we define it. It’s not just what we do, it’s WHY we do it. Our new passion statement is: Impacting Lives by Creating Transformational Opportunities.

Our passion for impacting lives stood out for me during our 50th anniversary celebration. Here’s a few highlights from the campaign that started in February and wrapped up in July:

Highlighting Our “Follow Us Through the Decades” Campaign

In the six months leading up to our anniversary celebration, we embarked on a unique “Follow Us Through the Decades” campaign. Each month, we highlighted a different decade of our journey through a comprehensive social media campaign, diving into the significant milestones and transformations from 1974 to 2024. This campaign not only allowed us to showcase our growth and adaptability over the years but also provided a nostalgic and engaging experience for our audience.

The campaign resonated deeply with our SSE alumni, clients, employees, and business partners, rekindling cherished memories and sparking meaningful conversations about our shared history. The heartwarming response reaffirmed my belief in the power of highlighting our roots and honoring our journey, from our founder Carmella Calta to our present day.

Celebrating with Our Team and Community

Our anniversary celebration in July was a memorable event, attended by over 120 employees, clients, business partners, SSE alumni, friends, and family. We were grateful to have 16 SSE alumni join us, a testament to the strength and longevity of our culture. Their presence was a powerful reminder of the lasting connections and positive impact we have made in their lives over the years.

In addition to the celebration, we wanted to give back to those candidates and assignment employees who have contributed to our success. We ordered special Staffing Solutions’ merchandise and awarded 50th anniversary prize packages to 15 individuals we have worked with over the years. This gesture was our way of expressing our gratitude for their dedication and hard work, which have been instrumental in our journey.

As part of our anniversary celebrations, we asked people to share their fondest memories of SSE. We had over 60 people take the time to share their fondest memories with us. These responses were so touching and a true reflection of the impact SSE has had on so many lives.
