EHRWN 101: What’s it all about?

Author: Katie Forsha

If that acronym looks like gibberish to you, you are in the right place. We are breaking down exactly what EHRWN is and why you should consider joining!

The Executive HR Women’s Network is a group that was started in 2006 by Carmella Calta and SueAnn Naso to connect women in HR in the Cleveland area. The idea is to create a space where women can promote professional development, address relevant HR issues and offer opportunities to network with other women in HR.

Who can join:

Anyone!

All industry segments are represented in the group, however the common denominator is that each woman holds a leadership position in HR. The broad scope of HR women and industries provides a dynamic conversation about the challenges and opportunities we experience in our careers and daily operations.

What to expect:

As with the rest of the world, we pivoted our events due to the pandemic, and now have a hybrid approach. We host virtual bi-monthly meetings with exceptional speakers to cover topics requested by our group. We also offer quarterly in-person events for networking, typically in the downtown area.

Our speaking events run from 8:30 – 10 AM, with networking from 8:30 – 9 AM led by our CEO SueAnn Naso, and a presentation from our speaker from 9 – 10 AM. We have found that this schedule works well for our members, especially in a virtual environment.

As a member, you will have access to these events along with our monthly newsletter with group updates, community events, and any other suggested content.
