SSE offers you the opportunity to save for your retirement through a savings plan. This plan offers a pre-tax investment with potential matching benefits! It also provides a wonderfully flexible savings plan for your future. You can contribute up to the current IRS contributions limits of your pay and SSE will match .25% of your investment, up to 4% (i.e. elect to contribute 4% SSE will match 1%).

To participate in the plan, you must be an eligible employee, must be at least the age of 18, and must complete a year of service with SSE.

Employees who work an average of 30 hours or more a week are eligible for health insurance. This health insurance is on the first of the month following a 60-day waiting period.  

Coverage offered is provided by Medical Mutual and designed to provide benefits for routine health care. This includes doctor office visits, wellness exams, prescription drugs, and hospital coverage.  There are three plans from which to choose. 

A separate Holiday Pay of up to 8 hours of pay is issued to Regular Assignment Employees* within 3 weeks of the holiday once the following parameters have been met:

  • Have worked 1,000 career hours*, accumulated by the week prior to the holiday.
  • Worked a minimum of 325 hours in the 13 weeks prior to the holiday.
  • Work the business day before and after the holiday.
  • Working on an assignment at the time holiday pay is issued.
