Engage! Cleveland’s Young Professionals Week is a transformative event that brings together over 1,000 young and emerging professionals in Cleveland annually. This vibrant week serves as a platform to showcase the city’s thriving businesses, nonprofits, places, activities, and people.
Young Professionals week offers a diverse range of networking and professional development opportunities to get connected: from yoga classes to cupcake decorating, to professional headshots, and more! Keep reading for a recap of the week and to hear some highlights from Young Professionals Week:
Our Client Engagement Specialist, Connor Sweeney, had an enlightening conversation with Karin Bonev, Senior VP at Dix & Eaton, during YP Week on the topic of mentorship. When asked what qualities mentors seek in their mentees. Karin emphasized the significance of “curiosity and commitment to one’s career.”
Amber Reed, our Staffing Specialist, shared her thoughts with us on attending the Lunch with Leaders Panel where she got to hear from top Cleveland leader, Ronn Richard, President of The Cleveland Foundation.
“Lunch with Leaders was a valuable experience! Engage! Cleveland was so welcoming (as always). It was great to network with other young professionals, and hearing from a speaker deeply entwined in Cleveland’s culture really made me examine my civic responsibilities on a new level.” – Amber Reed
Being a young professional myself, I can personally vouch for the immense value of the professional headshots offered during Young Professionals Week. Like many of us, there were members in our team who were seeking updated headshots. Engage! Cleveland effortlessly provides an excellent opportunity to enhance your LinkedIn profile with quick, affordable, and top-notch professional headshots.
Our President and CEO of Staffing Solutions Enterprises, SueAnn Naso is a long-time Engage! Cleveland board member and will transition into Board Chair for Engage Cleveland starting in July 2023. SueAnn her insights with me on the impact of Young Professionals Week and how it’s transformed opportunities for young professionals over the years.
“As a board member, I have been involved with Engage! Cleveland’s YP Week since it was first started. It’s amazing to see how much it has expanded and transformed over these past 10 years. In July, I will have the privilege to become chair of the board and I am very excited to see where Ashley and her team take the organization over the next few years. Engage! Cleveland has been a wonderful resource for our internal YPs providing them opportunities for professional development, engagement in the community, and networking.”
