This July of 2022, our CEO and President, SueAnn Naso, and our Vice President of Recruiting & Service Delivery, Rachel Mack, attended SHEroes: Night of a Million Pieces held by the Women’s Fund of Lorain County’s Community Foundation. The SHEroes event raised awareness on the lack of access to affordable menstrual products for women and teens and set a goal to collect one million pieces for Change the Cycle, an organization dedicated toward ending period poverty. The initiative discusses the true impact that the lack of access to menstrual products has not only on health, but also educational and occupational wellbeing.
They were so moved by the Change the Cycle initiative that they decided to start our own campaign at Staffing Solutions by consulting our Executive HR Women’s Network. For the month of August, we launched our Change the Cycle period product drive, to help support women and teens without access to menstrual products in our local community of Lorain County. We were so humbled by the generosity of the Executive HR Women’s Network – from house drop offs, to mailed donations, to a humbling amount of donations collected at our Executive HR Women’s Network Summer Social!
And the grand total?!
We give our appreciation to everyone who donated and took part in our Change the Cycle campaign, you are truly helping to make a difference in our communities! See above, an image of our donations collected at our Executive HR Women’s Network Summer Social!
