At SSE, we understand the importance of offering generous benefits to our temporary employees. Whether you are looking for a short-term assignment or a longer-term position, we provide competitive benefits to reward and recognize the hard work of our temporary workforce.
When you work as a temporary employee with SSE, you don’t have to worry about going without health insurance. We understand the importance of health coverage, so we provide generous health insurance benefits for our temporary workers. You can enjoy peace of mind knowing that you are covered should an unexpected medical emergency arise.
Employees who work an average of 30 hours or more a week are eligible for health insurance. This health insurance is on the first of the month following a 60-day waiting period. Coverage offered is provided by Medical Mutual and designed to provide benefits for routine health care. This includes doctor office visits, wellness exams, prescription drugs, and hospital coverage. There are three different plans from which to choose.
401K Retirement Savings

Our plan offers a pre-tax investment with potential matching benefits! It also provides a wonderfully flexible savings plan for your future. You can contribute up to the current IRS contributions limits of your pay and SSE will match .25% of your investment, up to 4% (i.e. elect to contribute 4% SSE will match 1%).
To participate in the plan, you must be an eligible employee, must be at least the age of 18, and must complete a year of service with SSE.
We recognize that the opportunity to take time off during the holidays is invaluable, and we’re proud to offer holiday pay for qualifying employees.
A separate Holiday Pay of up to 8 hours of pay is issued to Regular Assignment Employees* within 3 weeks of the holiday once the following parameters have been met:
- Have worked 1,000 career hours*, accumulated by the week prior to the holiday.
- Worked a minimum of 325 hours in the 13 weeks prior to the holiday.
- Work the business day before and after the holiday.
- Working on an assignment at the time holiday pay is issued.
Employee of the Month Program
At SSE, we understand how hard our temporary employees work and we want to recognize their efforts. That’s why we have an Employee of the Month program that honors one temporary employee every month who’s doing an outstanding job. The chosen employee receives a gift certificate and is highlighted in our company newsletter.

One benefit of working as a temp at SSE is your access to the Best Benefits Club. Direct Deposit Into Your Bank
Payroll is delivered by direct deposit (unless prohibited by state law) into your personal checking or savings account (your first check will be a live payroll check). If you do not have a personal checking or savings account, you have the option of receiving a payroll card. Payroll cards are mailed to your home within two (2) weeks. Once the card is received simply activate the card, notify payroll that your card is activated (email@example.com) and your next pay will be deposited directly onto that card.
Income Verification through the Worknumber
The Work number can streamline the employment and income verification process. When asked for proof of your employment or income, Provide your Employer Code: 16915 and social security number and then direct the verifier to www.theworknumber.com
